Intensive 2 - 4 day Workshops

Over the past ten years, there has been a marked increase in the number of people who are living with stress, anxiety and depression. Our specially designed and individually tailored workshops are intensive 2 to 4 day retreats for anyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression or daily struggles with complete anonymity and discretion.  Our retreat is set in a non clinical environment with specially designed counselling rooms, (see pictures on home page) an award winning BnB onsite (see awards below) and a beautiful well established mindfulness garden for clients to relax in.

The facilitators

Retreats are hosted and run by Alyse Price-Tobler and her staff. Alyse has worked in the field of disabilities and mental health for the past 32 years and holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling.  Alyse is available along with her staff, to make sure that you feel safe, comfortable and well supported during your stay.

Specialist areas

Alyse specialises in many areas of mental health, including anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, women's issues (inc domestic violence), emergency first responders trauma, employment issues, parental alienation syndrome, agoraphobia, claustrophobia and intellectual disability/supportive work practice.

Are all sessions based in the counselling rooms?

Our retreats are unique and not just based in a counselling room. Alyse will often perform counselling in the mindfulness garden and at other times, it may be optimal to leave the premises to help you to learn new ways to explore your emotions. For example, we may go down the street into town to work with symptoms of agoraphobia, social anxiety, phobias, or managing panic attacks in public. This is only ever done if this is your choice and you will never be pushed or forced into something that you aren't comfortable with.

Location and activities around town

Our workshops are located in the beautiful country town of Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW, and can be attended alone, with a partner staying here but not receiving counselling, or as a couple. Mittagong is about half way between Canberra and Sydney (2 hours drive either way) and is renowned for it's cooler climate, rain forest and bush walks, waterfalls, wineries, amazing restaurants, art galleries, shopping, markets, festivals and quaint villages. We are a 10 minute walk or 1 minute drive into the town of Mittagong, with many little shops, pubs and award winning restaurants to dine in. It is a 2 hour drive or train ride from Mascot or Canberra airport. There is also a taxi rank, award winning bakery (Gumnut Patisserie) and local brewery (Eden brewery) in the next street.

On site accommodation

Beautiful four star accommodation with an average annual rating award from of 9.1 is included in the retreat cost. Our Retreats are unique in so many ways. The mindfulness garden also has assorted calming water features, incense burning and 5 separate chill out seating areas.

Are partners not having counselling welcome?

Partners are welcome to come and stay with clients who are receiving individual counselling.

Prior to arrival

Before each individual client or couple come along to the retreat, Alyse will Skype or call you over the phone to design an individually tailored plan just for your specific needs, unless you are a current client (we can talk about the program design while you are in session). Support persons are invited to sit in on clients receiving individual sessions, if the client receiving counselling agrees.

After Care

After clients leave the retreat, they can choose to continue to receive Skype and or telephone support to help them to still keep walking on their recovery journey, and can always return for individual counselling with an additional retreat package, or a 1 hour session ($120 per hour) or $150 per hour for couples.

Please phone 0248723724 or 0477458777 to speak directly to Alyse about any questions that you may have.

We look forward to walking with you on your own personal healing journey, Alyse Price-Tobler
